Located in the splendid landscape of the Ticino Valley south-west of Milan, the Cascina Caremma agritourism offers its guests a unique experience that combines nature, food and tradition.

Its position allows you to visit the cities of Milan, Vigevano and Pavia within a 50 km radius, the hills of the Oltrepò and a canal dedicated to irrigating the land among historic villas and fascinating landscapes.

The farmhouse is a historic residence from the 1600s which has always had an agricultural vocation which has been accompanied by agritourism activity.

From the ancient homes of the laborers and tenants and from the ancient granary, 14 rooms have been created, divided into Standard, Classic (where pets are allowed), Superior and Suite (with panoramic views). All rooms have a private bathroom, heating and air conditioning.

Services and activities of the Cascina Caremma agritourism

Caremma presents a series of services to make the most of the farmhouse experience.

The Nature SPA, created from the ancient stable, is a structure designed for relaxation and well-being immersed in nature.

Divided into three different environments, it includes several swimming pools (one of which is outdoor with water heated to 30° with renewable sources) and hydromassage tubs, the biosauna, the steam bath with chromotherapy, the footbath area made with well water and the showers Scottish and aromatic.

Facial and body treatments and a selection of traditional massages are possible.

The restaurant mainly uses organic products made on the farm, offering an exceptional culinary offering based on seasonality and the quality of the ingredients (many of which are certified).

The Caremma bistro is a bright building with large windows and an outdoor area and is responsible for serving breakfast for guests of the farmhouse, consuming local specialties from an à la carte menu and purchasing Cascina Caremma brand products.

Cascina Caremma has different types of meeting rooms for business meetings, created from the original settings of a typical Lombard farmhouse and suitable for every need.

Among the activities offered there are hatha yoga lessons, sporting activities (cycling, trekking and table tennis), excursions in the Ticino Park and an agri-food route open all year round.

The agri-food itinerary is made up of 26 stages between the fields and the places of the farmhouse which, thanks to descriptive panels, give the visitor knowledge of rural culture and how it fits today into a perspective of respect for biodiversity and sustainable development.

The green commitment of the Cascina Caremma agritourism

Cascina Caremma is an agricultural company founded in 1988 with 36 hectares of initial land which has always pursued the goal of food self-sufficiency and the creation of a production activity that had the lowest possible environmental impact.

To this end, Caremma has implemented various agricultural production processes and some transformations involving cereal crops, livestock farming and the in situ production of various types of cured meats.

The first step was the conversion of the land according to the dictates of organic farming.

Cascina Caremma's sustainable farming concerns cattle, pigs, goats and chickens.

The animals are raised in a semi-wild state with adequate spaces in which to move freely which allows them to stay healthy without the use of antibiotics and drugs.

Caremma also has a large vineyard in which Freisa, one of the historic vines typical of the Po Valley area, has been reintroduced.

In 2015, Cascina Caremma was awarded the Green Flag for Agriculture, an award aimed at organizations and companies whose distinctive characteristics are based on landscape protection policies, the rational use of land and the valorisation of the territory.
