The Pino Loricato refuge is located at 1550 meters in the Pollino National Park, on the slopes of the massif of the same name and not far from the Sanctuary of the Madonna del Pollino, which has always been a pilgrimage destination.

Located 6 km from the town of San Severino Lucano, the refuge is framed by fascinating woods characterized by a species of pine characteristic of the Pollino Massif, the "Loricato Pine", from which it takes its name.

The family-run Pino Loricato refuge offers an overnight stay in a welcoming dormitory with 10 beds and a restaurant service with traditional Lucanian cuisine.

Services and activities of the Pino Loricato refuge

The refuge's restaurant has 60 seats and offers typical dishes of the Lucanian tradition also using organic products from the Pollino National Park.

The Pino Loricato refuge constitutes an important reference for hikers as it is the focal point from which various paths lead to the discovery of an uncontaminated territory with fairy-tale landscapes.

Also open in winter, the refuge offers an equipment rental service to carry out various sports activities on the snow: trekking, Nordic walking, mountain bike rental, snowshoeing, hiking skis, snowmobile excursions.

For all those who want to experience the snow for pure fun, sledding and a snow tubing slope are available.

Immersed in a natural and protected area such as the Pollino National Park, the Pino Loricato refuge has a wooden structure perfectly harmonized with the surrounding landscape.
