Excursion from Casone di Profecchia (1314 mt) to Monte Prado (2054 mt).
We are in the Gigante Park and Monte Prado is the highest of the Tuscan Apennines. Like other mountains it has evident traces of ancient glaciers and moraines but, unlike the neighboring ones, it conserves a glacial niche at an altitude of 1850-1900 meters.
