14th and 15th July 2018 - 8.00 pm - In Statigliano, close to Roccaromana city, tradition and nature are held in such a consideration that every year we offer a great moment of local peculiarities that this community is proud to preserve.
The S. Margherita Association is a promoter of these activities and with passion and commitment works incessantly to offer tourist or visitors traditional country dishes, prepared according to the ancient recipes. The local production allows the discovery of genuine and uncontaminated products that in capable hands become delicious and succulent dishes.
This event has seen year after year the participation of hundreds and hundreds of people from all over the Campania region in search of quiet, pleasant and relaxing places and flavors linked to tradition. The "cavati" (AKA Gnocchi pasta) in the pan, are made directly from the grandmothers hands with flour, water and salt creating a dough according to the ancient recipe. Then, with a particular jesture they "cavano" (rotate), one by one each piece of pasta to prepare the final version of gnocchi. Several hundred portions ready for the evenings of the festival before July 20th, the Feast of the Patron Saint Margaret of Antioch.
20 minutes from Caserta, Statigliano, a hamlet of Roccaromana, is reached from the A1 motorway exit Caianello, from the Telesina exit Baia and Latina or Dragoni or from the SS Casilina junction of Riardo-Pietramelara.
