The vegan restaurant Emma Pea is located in Berlin, at Revaler Str. 99, a lively area rich in tourist and cultural attractions.

Nearby, you can visit several points of interest such as the famous East Side Gallery, the longest remaining part of the Berlin Wall, now transformed into an open-air art gallery.

Just a few steps away is the RAW-Gelände, a complex of repurposed industrial buildings that host markets, concerts, and various cultural events.

Emma Pea, originally the bar M.R.P., was founded about 90 years ago during Prohibition by three Americans. The establishment has gone through various transformations, including the Nazi period and being run as a private bar by the DDR.

In the 1960s, circus elephants were housed next to the bar. The name Emma Pea derives from Emma Peanut, a retired elephant cow.

Today, the establishment celebrates this connection with statuettes and a painting of Emma Peanut. The current manager, Cosmo S. Wheeler IV, is a descendant of the original founders, giving the place a unique and historic character.

Cuisine at Emma Pea Restaurant

Emma Pea is a casual plant-based restaurant, fully vegan since 2017.

The menu is varied and includes dishes such as vegan burgers, fries, hand-cut sweet potatoes, quesadillas, homemade nachos, soups, salads, and weekly changing specials.

Among the desserts, you can find cakes and cookies. The beverage list includes cocktails, iced tea, coffee, and lassis.

Emma Pea stands out for its use of premium ingredients and the presentation of dishes that attract both vegans and non-vegans.

The restaurant offers a welcoming atmosphere with well-maintained outdoor spaces and decorations that make the dining experience even more enjoyable.
