Taking advantage of the spring days at the Habitat Ecovillage we will realize a practical theoretical residential course of design and construction of 2 gardens using the techniques of Hugelkulture (mound cultivation) and Keyhole garden (lockable garden), are natural environments "saves space" much appreciated in the farms in Permaculture of all over the world, to cultivate in situations of water shortage..
The course, basic level, that is suitable for inexperienced or beginners in Permaculture is addressed to no more than 10 people
- PROGRAM:
- Friday 6/4
Meeting of the participants around 16:00, after having completed the registration procedures, visit of the ecovillage and the community, dinner and overnight stay in a tent (own).
- Saturday 7/4
From 7.00 to 9.00 am time for breakfast and morning awakening; from 9:00 am lesson on what it is, how it works, who it is addressed to and how to design a Hugelkulture and a Keyhole garden. At 13.00 lunch. From the afternoon planning and construction. Dinner and overnight in a tent.
- Sunday 8/4
From 7.00 to 9.00 am time for breakfast and morning awakening; from 9:00 am practical work of realization. At 13. In the afternoon and until 17:00 the construction works will continue. From 17:00 to 18:00 feedback and greetings.
The course fee is 75 Euro per person for a maximum of 10 members, a 10% discount to RIVE members and Habitat Ecovillaggio. The fee includes the course, the materials used, all meals, drinks included and accommodation in a tent.
ATTENTION: it is also possible to register only as auditor NOT participating in the "physical" activities of construction of the building site, but at a total cost of 100 Euro
