CinemAmbiente is the leading film festival in Italy dedicated to environmental issues where films and documentaries on nature and sustainability are presented internationally.

The festival, which began in 1998 with the goal of promoting environmental culture through cinema, is held annually and for its 27th edition will take place from June 4 to June 9, 2024, at the Cinema Massimo within the National Cinema Museum of Turin.

The event is divided into two main competitions dedicated respectively to documentaries (International Documentary Competition) and to short films (International Short Film Competition) along with other non-competitive sections such as Made in Italy, Panorama, and CinemAmbiente VR.

During the event, there are also other initiatives related to environmental themes such as focus on particular topics of interest, seminars, meetings, presentations, and conferences.

CinemAmbiente is a zero emissions event since the CO2 produced is offset through the CO2 reduction platform. Moreover, the event is plastic free as only recycled materials with Ecolabel and FSC certification are used.
