The B&B Casale Il Baronetto is located at the foot of the Gran Sasso mountain massif in Abruzzo, a region whose territory is made up of 60% National Parks.
In the surroundings of the bed & breakfast there are several historic villages to visit that are easily accessible such as Castiglione, Montefino and Penne.
The Baronetto is located in a historic farmhouse from the late 19th century, whose restoration (conservative) saw the use of materials recovered on site.
The building is immersed in agricultural land of approximately 1.5 hectares which has a wooded area, an olive grove, a vegetable garden and a designated grazing area.
Casale Il Baronetto has two mini apartments (Sole and Luna) adjacent to the main building which can accommodate up to 4 people each. Each mini apartment has an independent entrance, kitchenette, private bathroom and secure parking.
Furthermore, various common areas are available to guests, such as a barbecue area, a relaxation area, a children's play area and a small swimming pool.

The Casale Il Baronetto bed & breakfast offers a homemade breakfast with self-produced specialties and, with a small contribution, gives the possibility to dine with typical dishes of the Abruzzo tradition, also paying attention to the needs of a vegan or vegetarian diet.
Among the services offered by the B&B there is mountain bike rental and some charging stations for bicycles are also available.
There are various activities to do during the stay: from visits to the numerous villages in the area, to trips to the seaside (for example to sites marked with the blue flag), to excursions in the mountains.
The National Parks offer the opportunity to ski, take relaxing walks immersed in the surrounding nature, go trekking on a mountain bike, go climbing and go horseback riding.
The southern coast, generally rocky, lends itself to marine sports activities such as snorkeling and diving.

The Casale Il Baronetto bed & breakfast has a strong sensitivity to sustainability, making the latter the cornerstone of its activity.
IThe stay is structured so that guests do not leave any environmental footprint due to their stay.
There are renewable energy systems such as a photovoltaic system for electricity and a solar thermal system for the production of domestic hot water.
Resources are used rationally and consciously. In fact, there are flow reducers for the taps and the thermo fireplace is powered by wood obtained from pruning trees for forest maintenance.
The waste is separated and the organic fraction is decomposed in a composter to produce natural fertilizer for the vegetable garden.
Rainwater is collected and used, together with water purified by a phytopurifier, to irrigate the vegetable garden.
The products from the garden, grown on site, are used as zero-mile ingredients for the preparation of strictly traditional dishes cooked in a sustainable way.
Casale il Baronetto is a member of Civiltà Contadina, an organization where ancient seeds can be found and exchanged for the purpose of safeguarding rural biodiversity.
