Glass jars and plastic bottles as new in a natural and effortless way ready to be immediately reused

It often happens that we want to give new life to a glass jar (for example that of honey or legumes) or a plastic vial and from a sustainability point of view it is certainly commendable, but how many times after removing the sticker have we had to deal with the annoying glue residues that are so difficult to get rid of?

Forget the trouble of scrubbing and the use of chemical solvents of various kinds, there is an effective and natural method to easily remove glue from surfaces: extra virgin olive oil.

Although difficult to imagine, EVO oil performs a solvent function by breaking the chemical bonds that make up the molecular structure of the glue, effectively dissolving it.

So to remove any trace of glue from stickers and labels from glass and plastic surfaces, just put a little EVO oil on it and rub gently with your fingertips or a paper towel.

You will soon notice that the surface is completely smooth and there will be nothing left to do but wash the jar.

In case the glue is very strong, then you can prepare a paste made of EVO oil and baking soda and rub it on the surface. Leave to rest for half an hour and then rub again perhaps with the help of a non-abrasive sponge.

In this case, however, it must be kept in mind that the surface could get scratched due to the presence of bicarbonate granules, so it is advisable to act delicately.
