Earth Day is the largest event on environmental issues worldwide, involving more than 193 countries each year, mobilizing approximately one billion people.

The Earth Day, which takes place punctually on April 22nd, aims to celebrate the Earth and raise awareness of environmental sustainability and planet protection issues.

The day was celebrated for the first time on April 22, 1970 in the United States when, following the oil spill that occurred the year before in the waters of California, millions of Americans demonstrated to protect the Earth from pollution.

From those years onwards there has been a growing attention to environmental issues both by ordinary citizens and by institutions, so much so that nowadays the Earth Day has become an event that embraces the whole globe and that places the accent on important issues such as climate change, the protection of biodiversity, environmental sustainability, the exhaustion of non-renewable natural resources, etc.

On the occasion of the day in honor of the Earth, a series of countless events and concrete initiatives dedicated to the environment and its defense are held all over the world and at all levels, such as, for example: the execution of concerts, art exhibitions , screenings of films and documentaries, post-cad or the actions to remove waste abandoned in beaches, woods and cities by volunteer citizens.

Earth Day is not only an informative and educational event, but with this day we aim to find effective solutions to the problems that threaten and destroy the planet thanks also to the new technologies and scientific knowledge at our disposal.
