CinemAmbiente is the main film festival in Italy dedicated to environmental topics in which international films and documentaries on nature and sustainability are presented.
The review, born in 1998 with the aim of promoting environmental culture through cinema, takes place annually and for its 27th edition will be held from 04 to 09 June 2024 at the Cinema Massimo inside the National Museum of the Cinema of Turin.
The event is divided into two main competitions dedicated respectively to documentaries (International Documentary Competition) and short films (International Short Film Competition) which are joined by other out of competition sections such as Made in Italy, Panorama and CinemAmbiente VR.
During the event, moreover, there are other initiatives related to environmental issues such as focus on particular topics of interest, seminars, meetings, presentations and conferences.
The creation of CinemAmbiente is zero-emission as the CO2 produced is compensated through the CO2 reduction platform. Furthermore, the event is plastic free as only recycled materials with Ecolabel and FSC certification are used.
