CinemAmbiente is the main film festival in Italy dedicated to environmental topics in which international films and documentaries on nature and sustainability are presented.
Founding member of the Green Film Network (international association of film festivals with an environmental theme), CinemAmbiente has seen constant growth over time, becoming a point of reference in this sector of the film scene.
The review, born in 1998 with the aim of promoting environmental culture through cinema, takes place annually and for its 26th edition will be held from 5 to 11 June 2023 at the Cinema Massimo inside the National Museum of the Cinema of Turin which presents the event.
CinemAmbiente offers about 100 films every year divided between competitions and special sections, as well as a section completely dedicated to children "CinemAmbiente Junior".
During the event, other initiatives related to environmental issues are also proposed such as seminars, meetings with authors, exhibitions, theatrical performances, concerts and conferences for a focus on particular topics of interest.
CinemAmbiente is a zero-emission festival thanks to the compensation of the CO2 produced through the CO2 reduction platform.
Furthermore, it is an event that bans plastic as only recycled materials, Ecolabel and FSC certified materials are used.
